Our Philosopy

ESCOLA VELA MATARÓ was founded in 1994 by CLUB VELA MATARÓ with the will to train sportsmen in the modality of Light Sailing. In 2010 the Associació Esportiva de Vela Accessible i Vela per a Tothom Mediterrània acquired the management of the School under the direction of Diana Cuadras Collsamata.


ESCOLA VELA MATARÓ works during the school year with different schools and universities in the Maresme area. It offers courses of Light Sailing, Kayak, Paddle Surf and Wind Surf initiation. It also offers extracurricular activities with continuity during the year, as well as training stays at Christmas, Easter and summer, and offers different programs of labor insertion and social welfare.

Our Team

Our team is formed by experienced instructors and technicians who transmit their passion and motivation for the sea in the best way.

We have a technical staff with diverse profiles, and some of them with functional diversity and disability. Many of our trainers have been students at the school. The team is formatted by Tècnics, monitors col·laboradors and students in practice.At school we continue to train the technical team and volunteers throughout the year. We also have the help of a good volunteer name.

Diana Cuadras
Athlete, navigator, clown and specialist in Physical Activities in the field of Functional Diversity, of special adult populations. Formed in France, Quebec, Brussels and Tbingen. Sailing with lightweight since 1980, he has been a member of the female team Promises of Moth Europa for Barcelona ° 92 and of the Pre-Olympic team in Yngling in the 2002-03 season. He is a qualified coach and has worked as a specialist specializing in the field of Paralympic Sailing and sail equipment trained for people with some functional diversity.
